News - Local and National News

Newspapers

Local newspapers can be great sources of company information, as they often provide more in depth coverage of activities occurring in their "hometown." You are more likely to find information about corporate officers and company activities in the communities that they operate because residents view themselves as stakeholders. 

National newspapers often cover significant events that are relevant from a national or global perspective. 

Below is a listing of library databases that contain newspaper articles:

In addition, Access Newspaper Archive is a database of newspaper articles available on campus. Students must be on a campus computer to access this database from the Library Databases page.

Business Information Databases

Business Journals, Magazines, and Newspapers

To access these eJournals, you will need to go to the Library Databases page and scroll to the very bottom. Beneath the databases list you will see the words Publication Finder highlighted. 

Select Publication Finder by clicking on it. Copy and paste the name of the journal you want to view into the search box. Click on Search. Once the detailed record appears for your journal, you can select the date range you want to view and ultimately the issue.  

If you are at home or on your own device, you will be asked to login with your Bucks UserID and Password.

  • Advertising Age Articles on national and international marketing, news about individuals in advertising, statistics on advertising and special reports. 
  • B to B Presents business marketing news, strategy & tactics; emphasizes techniques & methods of advertising & selling products & services to business & industry. All aspects of tools & business marketing are explored, such as audio-visual, video etc.
  • Brandweek  A weekly publication of articles, interviews, business profiles, licensing, new products and new campaigns aimed at professionals in marketing in agencies and client companies. (01/03/1994 to 04/11/2011 ceased)  
  • Bloomberg Businessweek  Reports on news, ideas and trends affecting industry and the economy for those in business management, with national and international coverage.
  • Forbes  For corporate officers and other major executives in business interested in developing management insight through review of the nation's largest corporations.  
  • Fortune Gives top executives, and those working to reach senior positions in business information on the economic, political and social trends that affect the environment of business.
  • Inc.  Presents articles on financial & personnel management, marketing, administration, sales and operations for executives & managers of small to mid-sized companies.  
  • Incentive  Publishes articles and commentary on motivating people: employees and customers, and incentive strategies for business. 
  • Industry Week A management magazine aimed at executives with management responsibilities in administration or finance, production, engineering, purchasing or marketing and sales.
  • Kiplinger's Personal Finance Relates to saving, investing, taxes, insurance, major purchases including homes, education, health, travel & more.
  • Money  Personal and family finance magazine with articles providing guidance on making, investing, spending, and saving money.
  • Monthly Labor Review Analytic articles, developments in industrial relations, thematic issues, major agreements expiring, current labor statistics, research summaries and book reviews; published by US Dept. of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics.
