Search or Browse Specific Magazines/Journals

Browse or search in specific publications to gather ideas for a research topic and to keep current in the field of Early Childhood Education.

The magazine Teaching Exceptional Children is highly recommended for EDUC courses, especially EDUC 160. Other journals that worth exploring are The Reading Teacher, The History Teacher, and Education Week.

Search Many Education Resources at Once!

As you get started with your research, first, identify your topic. Second, brainstorm your topic. Simply write down all the words, terms from your book, and ideas you have about your topic. You will use this brainstormed list to identify your keywords. A keyword is a word used to find information when researching. For example, "communication disorders" and "early childhood education" are examples of keywords.

The next part of the research process is to use the Library databases to find resources related to your topic. The video and handout in this box guide you in this process.
