VAFW190 - Prof. Todd: Home

Welcome!!!!

Welcome, History of American Furniture students! This guide is intended to help with your research for your furniture paper. There is 2 aspects here: finding the pieces for your imaginary collection (with all the relevant information) and researching styles. The links on the left are taken directly from your assignment sheet and should help with the first part, the rest with help with the style piece (and may also be useful in tracking down pieces). If you have any questions, email me.

Places to Find Information

Once you are in MasterFile Premier, you can search for "JN 'Magazine Antiques'" to select just The Magazine Antiques. Treasurers also covers some furniture design.

There are also many books that will be useful to you in the library collection, most of which are hanging out in the 700s. To find these, head to the Bucks Library page and enter your search terms in the big search box. Or head up and browse the shelves. If you get stuck with any of this, send me an email via the link on the right or Canvas. Or ask any of the librarians. (And remember to share the books!)
