Information Literacy Resources for Faculty: Evaluating Sources

This guide houses a collection of videos, tutorials, tools, and links that faculty can use to teach Information Literacy in diverse disciplines.

Do you need more instruction for your class?

Request an Information Literacy session (in-person or Zoom) by filling out this form: https://www.bucks.edu/library/infolit/session-request/. Use the same form to request an Embedded Librarian for online courses. Don't be afraid to tell us what you need, because the librarians are committed to collaboration with faculty! We want to make sure your students learn what they need to be successful with YOUR course and YOUR assignments.

The CRAAPP Tests

Use the CRAAPP Tests to evaluate sources! The first CRAAPP Test is designed to help the researcher decide if the website they are looking at is reliable and appropriate for college-level work.

The second CRAAPP Test (CRAAPPII or Son of CRAAPP) was developed right here at Bucks to help researchers figure out if they are looking at a popular magazine article or a scholarly journal article.

Find both CRAAPP Tests linked in the box to the right.

Find a video tutorial beneath the CRAAPP Test links to the right.
