Framework for Comm. 110 Information Session

1.  How do I organize my research during the information gathering phase of my assignment?

  • Do  I create a folder, whether in One Drive, Google Drive, or on my personal computer?
  • Do I add a document to this folder where I will specifically save citations (even if those citations are not perfectly formatted yet) and URLs of articles, ebooks, print books, media, etc. that I have found along my information gathering journey?

2.   What library databases or research sources that were presented today might help me with my topic?

  • What databases or sources might work if I haven't settled on a topic yet?
3.  How can I evaluate sources, such as database articles, so I am sure they are credible and legit?
4.  Where can I find information on MLA or APA formatting guidelines and why do I need them?
5.  How can I get library reference help or tech help after I leave this session?
