Getting stuck in your searches? Whether you are in the Library catalog, Google or the Library databases, the process is mostly the same.
Start with a broad topic like: criminal law
If you find no results with this basic concept in criminal justice, you are probably in the wrong place. Try another database.
If you get hundreds of results, you will want to get more specific. Try crimes against property or property crimes
The Library catalog mostly contains items that are physically in the library: books, videos, magazines, journals etc. We do have some online books and videos as well.
Tip: The catalog is more picky about the words you use than Google. If you are getting 0 results, try some different search words. Less complicated searches with fewer words will work the best. Sentence and long phrases are less likely to be effective.

Find books, videos, and more in the Bucks Library.
Interested in the Research Guide Temple has for Criminal Justice? Take a look! Bucks won't have access to all these sites, databases or books, but you can get an idea of what you may be using if you transfer to another school.
