EBSCO Information

Please watch this up-to-date video tutorial to learn more about EBSCOhost and score some great tips on using it effectively.

CREDO Information

Check out Credo Reference (in the library's list of databases) for general art research. The information you find here is from specialized dictionaries and encyclopedias, not scholarly journals and popular magazines. (Use EBSCOhost and JSTOR for those.) This information will absolutely be reliable, and the shorter-length entries are great for advanced research on a topic, finding usable keywords for future searches, and learning about unfamiliar concepts. The mind maps that appear on the right side for most topics will point you to related topics.

ARTstor Information

ARTstor is a great, professional source for images. It boasts a HUGE collection of visual art including photographs, portraits, architecture, maps, artifacts, and paintings. Access ARTstor through the library's list of databases and then create your own log-in to save images to your device and use them in projects. ARTstor will supply some information about the image's creation and provenance, and it will furnish a citation in multiple styles for that specific image. Below is a video our awesome librarian Margaret Monet made on some of the many ways to use ARTstor, with captions. If you have questions, ask a librarian!!
