  • Clinical Logic for Injuries to Muscles, Ligaments and Nerves"This is an online virtual sports medicine clinic where students could follow an ATC as she applies range of motion tests to diagnose injuries to muscles, ligaments and nerves. Using detailed graphics, interactive animations, audio and quizzing, this self-paced learning object allows students to get an internal view of how these injured tissues react to range of motion tests while practicing the underlying clinical logic with virtual patients."
  • Orthopedic Assessment Methods "This blog is used to post instructional videos which can be used to learn various techniques used to assess orthopedic injuries. The content is not supplied as a form of self diagnosis."

  • Open Culture - Repository of free links to audio books, ebooks, classic movies
  • DPLA Primary Source Sets - From the Digital Public Library of America: topics in history, literature, and culture through primary sources. Each set includes an overview, ten to fifteen primary sources, links to related sources, and a teaching guide.  
  • CommonLit (grades 3-12) - delivers high-quality, free instructional materials to support literacy development for students 

Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics

 

  • The Biology Project The Biology Project offers problem sets and tutorials and include topics, such as; cell biology, chemicals and human health, developmental biology, human biology, immunology, genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry. This site also connects you to other resources related to topics. 
  • Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) BioInteractive Lectures BioInteractive offers lectures on biology topics, such as; human evolution, genetics, and reporting scientific results, that range from 30-60 minutes. They also have a collection of holiday lectures and talks that cover a range of topics, for example, "AIDS: Evolution of an Epidemic", "Potent Biology: Stem Cells, Cloning, and Regeneration", and "The Immune System: Friend or Foe." 
  • ChemCollective The ChemCollective is a collection of virtual labs, scenario-based learning activities, tutorials, and concept tests. Teachers can use our content for pre-labs, for alternatives to textbook homework, and for in-class activities for individuals or teams. Students can review and learn chemistry concepts using our virtual labs, simulations, and tutorials. The ChemCollective is organized by a group of faculty and staff at Carnegie Mellon who are interested in using, assessing, and creating engaging online activities for chemistry education.
  • MIT Open Course MIT Open Courseware offers an extensive series of online courses in Chemistry. Course format generally includes lecture videos, interactive concept quizzes (solution key), problem sets, terms and definitions, suggested topics and links, and exams (with solution key). 
  • MIT Open Courseware  "Prototyping Avionics" is an online course offered by MIT. It provides problem sets, lecture notes and assignments
  • UC Irvice Open Courseware Select Engineering to view engineering courses.
  • Biomedical Engineering Theory and Practice This wikibook is designed to serve as the primary text for a two semester course in biomedical engineering. 
  • Yale Open Courseware Frontiers of Biomedical Engineering covers basic concepts of biomedical engineering and their connection with the spectrum of human activity. 
  • Introduction to Chemical Engineering This book is for anyone who is interested in some of the basic principles behind what chemical engineers do and how they can use powerful tools from physics to solve problems involving steady-state processes. 
  • MyOpenMath  Are you an instructor who wants to adopt an open textbook, who feels online interactive homework is valuable, but doesn't want their students to have to pay an additional fee?
  • Applied Math and Science  AMSER is a portal of educational resources and services built specifically for use by those in Community and Technical Colleges but free for anyone to use. 
  • American Institute of Mathematics The following open-source or open-access textbooks have been judged to meet the evaluation criteria set by the AIM editorial board.
